Happy Fall, ya’ll!

The fall season is a time of change, not only for the leaves on the trees, but also for your skin. The cooler temperatures and lower humidity levels can cause your skin to become dry, flaky, and irritated.

Here are some tips on how to keep your skin healthy and glowing during the fall season:

  • Use a gentle cleanser. Avoid using harsh soaps or cleansers that can strip your skin of its natural oils. Instead, opt for a gentle cleanser that is specifically designed for dry or sensitive skin. Kaeli has suggestions in the shop for each skin type - just ask her for guidance!

  • Moisturize regularly. It is important to moisturize your skin twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Choose a moisturizer that is rich and hydrating, and formulated for your needs.

  • Exfoliate regularly. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells and reveal the brighter, smoother skin underneath. Exfoliate a couple times a week using a gentle exfoliator.

  • Protect your skin from the sun. Even on cloudy days, the sun's harmful UV rays can damage your skin. Be sure to apply sunscreen to your face and neck every day.

  • Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is essential for healthy skin. Aim to drink eight glasses of water per day.

Here are some additional tips for specific skin types:

  • If you have dry skin: Choose a moisturizer that is thick and creamy. You may also want to use a humidifier in your home to add moisture to the air.

  • If you have oily skin: Choose a moisturizer that is oil-free and non-comedogenic (meaning it won't clog your pores). You may also want to use a toner to help remove excess oil from your skin.

  • If you have sensitive skin: Choose skincare products that are fragrance-free and hypoallergenic. You may also want to avoid using products that contain harsh chemicals, such as alcohol or glycolic acid.

If you have any concerns about your skin, be sure to see our Esthetician Kaeli. She can help you to develop a skincare routine that is right for your individual needs. We have a specific service just for this - it’s called Skin Care Rx with Kaeli. You can book this for a $25 deposit and Kaeli will help guide you through what type of skin you have and suggest products - the $25 goes toward the purchase of your regimen.
